I would keep a color that is close to the wall color. I really like your rug and furnishings.

What color are the panels now?

they are a wheatish color. Not too far off from the wall color. (wall looks a little darker in the photo than in real life)

Primary reason I need to replace them is that they are about 1.5 inches too short and it drives me crazy. Open to suggestions :)

The blue wall should not have been an accent color because it diminishes the affect of the blue sideboard. The drapery panels should have been the blue gray of the rug.

I always love beautiful floral prints with Oriental rugs. House of Fabrics, an on-line fabric house has a good selection from which to choose fabric which can then be made into drapes. Lots of on-line ready made drapes as well. Right length (you know this already) and correct width (2.5 times window width) are critical to a great drape.

I would repaint the blue wall and try either solid cream curtains in a substantial material or cream with a subtle blue pattern, but not solid blue curtains. They will just make the room look smaller and take emphasis away from the objects in the room. I'm not really getting the rustic boards behind the TV in your otherwise classy room. I would remove everything off the chest below it, and have perhaps a colorful shallow elongated bowel there or nothing at all.

Haha - elongated bowel! Love auto-correct!

If you can find nice drapery in any color in the rug it would look good.

These samples are from regal drape.com. If you are not familiar with the shop, the treatments are semi-custom.

I would suggest you bring over to the window walls, the color of your accent wall.

Thanks everyone! I will check out some of the curtain suggestions as everything else in the room will stay the same!

We think the blue that's in the rug would be a great curtain color.
