Reprocessing Pickled Beans

Hello Fellow Harvesters!

I processed half pints of Dilled Pickled Beans last night - first canning of the season - and screwed up. When I was loading the basket, my half pints were slipping through the holes in my new canning basket so they were hanging into the boiling water. After I was done loading, I lifted the ones that had slipped through back up and I think one or two may have sealed when they hit the cooler air but I'm not positive.

So the long and short of it is, I think that maybe one or two sealed before going through the 5 minute fully submerged boiling bath.

I'm assuming I should reprocess. So does this mean I should pour out the liquid and bring it to a boil - then pour back into the same jars that are already filled with the beans? and then put through the boiling bath again?

My new basket is so flimsy and not meant for half pints apparently. What do you use?

TIA

Judy
