I'm trying to identify these hostas

I started volunteering in a garden across the street (Manhattan) and I'd like to identify these hosta species so I can mark them correctly.

first is probably lancifolia ...

compare here: http://www.hostalibrary.org/

it often helps to add a scale to pix ... anything we all might recognize ...

I say:

1 is Undulata Erromena. ID status could be boosted if there are any white-centered Undulata Univittata still around.

2 is probably Hyacinthina, but could also be the old-timey Candy Hearts.

3 is probably Frances Williams, but is so stunted it looks a bit like a Fortunei Aureomarginata.

the various IDs for the first... could be a scale issue ...

to my eye .. it looks nothing like FW ... no matter how stunted ... but i do like the FA idea

and therein lies the rub.. on naming many decades old cultivars ...
