4th Millenium and Traverse 2 are both high end, relatively new cultivars that do well in the transition zone. I have both in my back yard. Color is excellent, but like all fescue in hot humid environments watch out for fungus. You should plan on a preventive fungicide program during summer, and I would highly recommend fungicide at seed down to improve establishment.

Regenerate I'm not familiar with, but it performed well in older NTEP tests.

Overall, the mix should perform very well and give you a great looking lawn.

Is this a complete reno? If so you should start watering lightly every day for a week, then hit it with RoundUp. Continue watering lightly daily for another week and hit it again with RU. This should kill off all the weeds that would have sprouted along with your new grass seed and give you a major head start on the project.

Glad to hear someone had good results from that mix. Yes, this is for a reno. Thanks for the info. The roundup plan was what I had in mind to do. Debating on either using Scotts starter fert with weed preventer (mesotrione) or just plain milorganite at time of seeding.

Definitely go for the one with mesotrione.
