Detergent for silk

What are you all using to wash silk these days? I've recently acquired a few silk clothing items and have been using Ecover Delicate Wash, but... Purex? Tide Simply Clean and Fresh? All Free and Clear (with no enzymes)? Is it just protease that is the problematic enzyme?

Perwoll Wool & Silk (Amazon). The Laundress Delicate wash (Amazon). Ecover Delicate. Woolite Extra Delicate.

I like the Purex without enzymes. Read the jug as some Purex does have enzymes.

Silk is a protein fiber, so yes, protease can weaken it, over repeated washings. Simple baby shampoo will do (hair is a protein fiber) but in a he machine, dose lightly or use a hand wash cycle. Any detergent without enzymes will be fine for long term repeated use.

I absolutely love perwoll silk detergent for silks. I have used baby shampoo for hand washing in the past with good results too.
