I don’t have fake grass but the doggie daycare I take my dog to does. The dogs seem very comfortable on it at all times of the year, we’re in Michigan where it gets both fairly hot and extremely cold. They also seem to adapt to it pretty easily. As for maintenance, with so many dogs it is hosed down often and I would assume it would still need to be hosed daily even with one or two dogs. Not just because of the oder but because of bacteria.
