My boyfriend and I recently purchased a sectional leather couch in dark brown and are waiting for it to arrive. We were thinking of a velvet teal accent chair for a pop of color. I feel the difference in textures give it a break. Or is too different?

This is the media unit we decided on as well, the color and finish is drift oak. Does the coffee table need to match the color of the media unit as well? What shape should we aim for? Do you guys have any recommendations?
