We are so excited for our first home (a cozy split level flat in London with small garden).

We cannot decide which way round to have the sofa - please vote! Or say if we should do a different layout all together. The pictures show how the current owners have the property laid out (they have two separate sofas, the second out of view one is where we are planning to put the TV unit).

A bit more detail: For the living and dining space we want to divide the space while still visually keeping it open (it's small - welcome to London!). We host sports BBQs and movie nights so really want that great sofa space to flow out onto the garden, we picked a dark comfy sofa (image attached), a minimal and modern white coffee table (IKEA) and a rich Anthropologie rug with blues and greens. On the TV wall we are thinking of getting a big modern media unit (probably IKEA) to pack with our books and movies. Meanwhile the dining area is mostly for special family visits and meals so it will be more formal.
