I don’t like that particular tile for your kitchen; it’s top heavy in relation to the countertop. Do you have others that you’d considered? Regardless of tile choice, make sure to remove the existing backsplash.

When you say full wall...above cabinetry? AS opposed to just between the upper and base cabinets?

If you love this tile, then I say between the cabinets only.

i also don't like that particular tile. If you had a solid gray countertop, I'd say ok. but not that marble-look one you have. doesn't work together.

if you want to do a full wall backsplash, please remove that small piece that's already there. just score it at the countertop and carefully peel it off the wall.

lets see the entire kitchen and figure out what tile would be a better fit for you.

Agree with Beth here - a backsplash treatment should take the place of the low strip presently here. You may already be accounting for that in your plans, but FYI if it wasn't already on your radar.

These forums always crack me up. She wasn't asking if anyone liked her tile. She was asking opinions about placement.

Kim, not sure what you mean by this because as written, it means the same. you put the tile on the wall and use it as a backsplash.

Definitely not a full wall!....too graphic, too bold. It would make me crazy.
And I don't think it works with the counter which looks more creamy. My rule for a backsplash is that it needs to match a color or two in the counter material, and I think both the color and style clash with your counter.

Well, I like it IF you have other black accents in the area...what is that black tall item next to the guy? Cabinet or a fridge? Will this tile fill up the whole space between the counters and uppers (if you remove the short splash you already have), or do you need to cut it? I think it's fun for the right kitchen :) Please post more pictures.
