Here it is......I tacked the gray body and black ear and straight stitched diagonally through the background squares for quilting. First time for tacking and I like it! This is the third Patch Pal I've done except for a 4th (flamingo) waiting for borders.

'Tacking' to me is zig-zagging in place.

Thank you everyone. I used Chicago Cubs fleece for the backing.......seems a bit heavy, but no problem, they live in Indiana. lol Carson's dad is a huge Cubbie fan and I didn't tell them that's what I was using for the backing. I'm anxious to see his expression. Instead of mailing it, I think I'll take it with me when I go up in a couple weeks.
