Keraji is an interesting one. Where did you get it?

You should share some seeds when it begins fruiting.

Keraji is a variety that can easily survive in zone 8, and doesn't taste bad. For those in borderline climate parts of the country where other citrus don't do well.

The Keraji looks like it was grafted below the trifoliate top branch and it still took, or did it just bud out and grow after? good job, yes I'm looking for that seed ....tomorrow I'm grafting something to my trifoliate...its time to fail again LOL

Giving it the old college try again - owari satsuma to trifoliate (both active) up high - left some lower trifoliate on? resting in shade, cuttings who cares from leftovers and threw in a kumquat and a kishu on a who cares root, usually something takes. So far batting a 0.00 on grafts, I think I hit that trifoliate 3 times already all failures

Don't feel bad. I am running at a 1.3% success on grafting. And my friend is running at 20% grafting. My first success came after 120 tries.

I sterilized with bleach and alcohol.......eh a shot

I use 10% bleach in water and a good rub down.

Sharp knife, smooth cuts, tight winding of tape— all contribute to success. Don’t be in a hurry. Make sure rootstock bark is slipping and peels back easily. I have less success if mosquitoes are biting, because then I get in a hurry!

I do everything outside. Plants are more vigorous outdoors. Buds force easily.

Keraji came from seeds of fruit from a guy in VA Beach. Yes, the fruit tasted good! Seedy, but good!

Right now I put that graft outside where its warm (90's here) but under a table in shade just like the pic? Is that right or should it get some light and if so when?

I also left the bag on.....

Laura, I can't remember what cutting I gave you! But the Oroblanco is growing gangbusters. It even bloomed. I removed the small fruit that were forming and it rewarded me by putting out another strong growth spurt!

My big Armstrong is taking the year off from bearing. Only three fruit on it. But the Owari has about 10.
