Genie Screw Drive 1/2HP won't work

I have a Genie Intellicode screw drive opener - probably about 12 years old. I had an issue where the door would open about 6 inches and then stop. After closing, it would happen this way a few time. Then it would no longe open, but the opener unit would hum twice. I checked online and found that the capacitor might be the issue. I replaced it. The door then opened and closed about 4 times. I left the house, but then when I tried to open it after coming home 4 hours later, I was back to the same issue.

Here's what I've done:

• Replaced capacitor
• Lubricated the trolley and screw
Disconnected the trolley from the door (but left it engaged to the screw) - The trolley moved up about 12-18 inches and then stops. If I hold the wall button down, the trolley will go all the way up. The trolley closes no problem. Again - this is with the trolley engaged but not connect to the door.
• With trolley connected to the door - the door only opens about 6 inches and then stops. If I hold down the wall button, the door will open about 3/4 of the run and then stop. It closes about the same - goes about 3/4's down and then stops - goes up about 3-6 inches and then stops.
• Inspected springs and side cables - all intact - door opens and closed manually with not too much effort
• Taken apart the motor - cleaned and rebuilt
• Unplugged unit for 1 hour
• Checked all wire connections

I've done everything I can think of and have found as possible solutions. I am about to replace the whole unit unless someone can provide some gem of insight.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
