nope. I don't even iron anymore now that I have a steamer.

I’ve never had an ironing board in this apt. I don’t Have a place to store it. Thats why I figured this might be a good idea since it will be hidden. I just dont know if it’s financially worth it. Others are telling me just use a table and a towel. lol

I'd do it. When you need an ironing board, you need one. A towel topped table might not always cut it. Storing an ironing board; averaged sized or a mini one...well, it still needs to be stored somewhere. $400 isn't much to have a small luxury.

@MeliT - The steamer I have has a hanger on it and then I just hang things up in my closet as I go. It takes half the time as ironing. Granted some fabrics steam better than others. I love it for my cardigans and blouses. I have no idea what brand of steamer I got, but it's from Amazon. I'm thinking about getting an additional travel/hand held steamer for spot checks and early morning de-wrinkling.

I iron a lot but I have board in my laundry space that I honestly take into my kitchen and watch TV while I iron. I think it depends on what you need the iron for if it is just touch ups a steamer is a better choice.

Most of the ironing boards that are made to be incorporated into closet design are meant for "touch up" only. They are not full size boards. Your designer should be able to show you three types... 1- is a larger board that folds up and sits inside a tall panel... Sidelines (can swivel) 2- is the board that pops up out of a drawer. (the one complaint I received on this one was that the slides on the sides are greasy.....rev.a.shelf (no swivel) 3 - the board that can fold up and sit on a shelf or can be hidden with a drop down front... hafele (can swivel)

Make sure you are near an outlet and have plenty of room to maneuver when ironing.
