I like it on my screen. The blue is a great complement to the yellow. Are the grilles between the panes of glass? What makes you doubt the color?

Its Sherwin & Williams color: Amalfi. The color online had more green. This is peacock blue and not what I expected so I am not sure I like it yet. Is the blue trying too hard to look cool?

I think it’s snazzy. I like fun back doors, feel like they always get ignored and painted boring white. If this is the door you use on a regular basis, make it a pleasant experience. It can be an attractive space too, so I like the idea of color. Give it a few days, if you’re still not sure, try again. It’s only paint.

You can use samplize.com to order real paint samples on an adhesive backing.

Hang some colorful mosaic on the fence to share more color in the space. BTW, I don’t normally like yellow houses, but yours is a pretty color, very cheery,

Good thinking tqtqtbw about integrating the color elsewhere.

Nice! Add a couple of painted planters same colour with some bright geraniums and it will look even better.

You have demonstrated the problem of selecting colors online--they are never true to the actual color.

    Here are some possibilities:

    Black

    Red

    Transitional Exterior · More Info

Hidden Hills Cottage · More Info

    Teal (blue-green)

    Craftsman Exterior · More Info

If you decide to change the color, get an actual sample of it and test it out before you buy the paint.

Not knowing the overall color scheme it’s hard to say. That being said it adds interest.

Keep it, it looks great. As others have mentioned, try to repeat the blue and yellow in an area rug and with decor.

Thanks everyone. I put back the deck as it usually is, but replaced the art with another that had a bit of blue in it. When fall is over, I'll paint the big planter the same color and maybe look for a smaller colorful one as its side kick. The deck furniture was free. The cushions will probably need to be replaced soon, but for now, this is the color for what I've got. THANKS ALL! You saved me a lot of work repainting it.

Diana - your last pic was very close to what I was aiming for and how the Amalfi color shows online. Oh well! I'll stick with the blue for now and learn my lesson about choosing paint colors online.

I love it. Add some planters in the same color so that it isnt the only thing that color. Its perfect.

It looks great! See how you feel after painting some planters. If it still bothers you, repainting it won't be a big deal. Love your soft yellow siding color.

Ha, it will need repainting sooner than you think! I find that exterior paint really wears away quickly. My one suggestion is to paint the white part of the door with the same blue for consistency.
