So, I tried to post something about the National Heirloom Expo next month. No dice. Nothing will post.

This is so stupid.

It worked yesterday. Today -- no dice.

The National Heirloom Exposition
will be held Tues., Weds. and Thursday,

Sept. 11, 12, and 13.

Please visit us at the Heritage Roses Groups table

In the main building
Across the room from the famous Tower of Squash

We'll be there to greet friends, answer rose questions, and SELL SOME GREAT ROSES!

Lisa A -- It's at the Santa Rosa Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa. A nice place. Love to see you. DH and I will work setup on MOnday, and all day Tuesday. And we will have A LOT of roses!

I was going to post more photos of the event -- but it's quit working again.

That is a LOT of squash. Jeri, you'll be bringing roses to sell there? Any chance of a list or some hints as to what might be available? It sounds like a fun event.

I don't know why you'd be able to add a photo to an original post one day but not the next. I've given up on even trying; I just assume I'll have to add pix in the comment section. Clever, Houzzzz!

The doggies are so cute with their little hats! The picture of the dogs making friends with the little girls is very sweet. Yes, lots and lots of squash and pumpkins!

Oh, at first it wouldn't even put images in comments.

Lots of squash, tomatoes, flowers . . . and YES. We'll have roses.

The only ones I know are:

Golden Century
Nuits de Young
Miss Lowe's Variety
Cramoisi Superieur
Jesse Hildreth . . .

But there are 50 roses coming courtesy of Gregg Lowery, so I suspect there will be a terrific selection.

Too bad it’s so far. I was hoping that since you were going, it was being held in your area, Jeri. I can’t make that far a drive. It would be a whole day of driving for me. Oh well, maybe someday......Lisa

Oh, sorry. No. It's a NoCal event (aren't they all?)

I would truly LOVE to, one day, put on something like a Celebration of Old Roses down here in SoCal. But the task is daunting. You need things like a site, insurance, and a squad of workers.

Wow, that's very tempting! I'll try to go. Are you saying that you'll be there only through Tuesday, or will you, your roses, and Gregg's be there for the entire event? I don't want to miss out if I can go!
