Waste of money for resale. Only do it if you’ll get a couple of years out of it before you put it on the market. And NOT that tile.

Top two are too gray, IMO, to work with the warm wood and the bottom one works although it looks a bit lifeless. I think it will get more personality in the larger countertop format though and is a safe choice. As far as working with the floor? I think you need to make the flooring choice before the counters.

Ms. Sophie, I understand we'll be taking something of a loss on the improvements but they appear to be necessary for our market. I live in a military town and everybody expects move in ready. The existing laminate countertops have some damage so they gotta go.

@ci_lantro Yeah, I get what you're saying, I wish I had taken a photo of the whole slab. It was generally muted but did have a nice wave pattern in it.
