Without pictures and any other information, I'm not very clear on what you're saying, there are many different things that could be said here in terms of whose fault this is and what should be done. And I'm sure there will be plenty of people on here who will say all of those things. I guess what I'll say is .... I have a U shaped set of cabinets on one wall of my kitchen, and the granite on that has a seam centered on each side of the "long" middle portion of the U with the sink in the middle of it. So I have two seams and they are barely noticeable unless you're looking for them. I have no idea if this relates to your situation or not.

Additional note: For quartz we would always make a single seam in the center since there is no concern about the stubs breaking off.

Thank you for your input. I uploaded a pic originally but it didn’t go through apparently. I wasn’t there, only my contractor and he sent them away with the slab so it was never installed. I will give them a chance to remedy it and if I’m not happy, I guess I will just have to voice my concerns.

oh hell no. Can they pull the counter top out some to cover the gap and then build up the back wall? It looks like they either cut it too deep or put the measurements 1-2 inches too far back on the slab.

I would not allow a skinny piece be added there...or anywhere due to that.

No they plan to cut out a new section and symmetrically add a whole new piece there instead.

So cut out the sink part, like a big square essentially, and add a new one in?

I mean, I guess It could look ok.

I still think I’d be pissed about it every time I was at the sink, which is multiple times a day. For many years to come.
