I use checkout 51. They sent me a paper check. It's okay. They don't have a lot of products and don't change them very often,but it's easy to use and adds up over time.

I love the ibotta app. I've gotten back a couple hundred dollars this year through that app. They put it in your PayPal account when you decide to cash out.

I also use receipt hog,which lets you earn coins that you can redeem to get either cash into your paypal,Amazon gift cards or visa cards. It's takes a long time to build up but all you have to do is take a picture of your receipt.

Fetch Rewards is a good app too. You just take a picture of the receipt and you get points. You get more points if you buy certain brands. The points add up pretty quick and there is a large choice of gift cards to redeem your points for.

As with all apps like this,you have to pay attention. Fetch Rewards is really bad about not giving me points when I buy SOs mountain dew. I have to go back and correct the receipt. It helps to go back and review which brands get extra points.

Shopkick can be fun if you have time for a scavenger hunt in the grocery store. It offers "kicks" which you earn in 3 ways:walking in the store,scanning certain items in the store, and buying certain items and submitting a picture of your receipt. You redeem the kicks for gift cards.

I also use the coupons.com app which gives cash back to PayPal.

I also use Walmart Savings Catcher.

You can get points or a bonus of some kind if your refer other people with some of these apps.

Savings Star was never worth it to me. You have to buy, like 15 bucks worth of Sargento cheese products to get 3 dollars back or something. The deals were conditional like that, or the products on normal deals were stuff i never bought. I ended up deleting it.

Never used any of them.

I've never used them, but our local TV station has a Smart Shopper lady. She posts weekly listings of specials at each of the grocery stores, and how you can combine specials, apps, coupons, etc. She often references Checkout51 and Ibotta, so I'm pretty sure they're legit and not sketchy.

I think corporate america has enough info on me without me voluntarily giving them lists of things I've purchased. For what other purpose would these apps exist?

I only use Ebates. I get a check every three months. But......they are trying to get people to take gift cards by saying it's faster.

I knew that they would eventually think of a way to get way from cash. If the gift cards don't have an expiration and can be combined, than I wouldn't mind.

I’ve been looking for a serger storage tote and it’s amazing how many ads are showing up for that specific item. So very true that merchants have my shopping/spending habits down to a T. But if one makes a little $ on spending habits that are not likely to change, why not.

I think it is pure genius on the part of the tech nerds who create the app and make money from now til forever. They wiggle their way into the marketing chain and don’t deal with/difficult customers, stock inventory, transport, and the rest of the gazillion tasks, from beginning to end of mkt chain. Just an app. While they watch everybody else play their role. I wished I’d thought of that.
