marcia, some of the antique roses don't get blackspot here as bad either. Mrs B R Cant (big dark pink cupcake shaped blossoms) is a beauty gets large, stays healthy and smells like the sweetest candy!

A hybrid tea I've found that does great here is Peach Swirl. It has clear yellow and peach pink flowers. Little to no black spot here in NE FL where it rains several times a week during the summer aka blackspot hell lol.

Many of the David Austin roses do well here. A few yellow/ish ones I have are:

Teasing Georgia is a good yellow here sometimes mine have a little bit of peach in them.

I also have The Poet's Wife which is a clear yellow David Austin rose that does well here.

Molineux (sp) is a yellow apricot pink loves Florida.

I could go on and on lol.

marcia_m, if you are looking for a HT that is fragrant and very disease resistant including black spot, I would suggest you look at Sunset Celebration. I got mine from Cool Roses on fortuniana root stock. It is a great rose. I am not sure where you are located, but I am in Palm Beach County Fl. Zone 10 and if it doesn't back spot here it isn't going to BS.... However, it is rated down only to a zone 7 I think.

Thank you for the suggestion, Sharon. I was going to keep the rose in a pot, but if I can get it on fortuniana stock, I will put it in the ground. I'm on the west coast, a little south of Sarasota.
