Two more photos...

Not seeing any Pachysandra in the photos. Is it elsewhere?

Floral, I didn’t include pachysandra in the pictures for identification but these “daisies” seemed to form a sprawling mat overnight. I assume they are perennials snd should be extirpated asap.

It’s just that you said this plant was taking over pachysandra beds and I couldn’t see any, only see ivy.

Floral, I think your eagle eye caught a mistake I may have made. The first picture was taken of the weed in question, which I pulled down at the driveway entrance. The second two are of a plant up near the house, which I thought was the same so I took a picture rather than walk back down. But looking closely I think maybe it is not the same?? I went back to the scene of the (original) crime and took this picture WITH the pachysandra under assault. You will also see my shoe for scale:) Thank you for straightening me out, and also teaching me not to be lazy when it comes to id-ing plants!

I would say still one of the weedy Erigeron, likely E. annuus.

Keep in mind that these are 1st year seedlings, and that any left behind could reach 4+ feet next year and really do a number on your pachy sandras.
