How would you fix this floor plam

The master bedroom is right off the entrance. There are only 3 bedrooms (house is almost 3000sqft). The bedrooms are scattered all over the house)
I was thinking of adding another bedroom in the family room and then adding a hallway there connecting to the existing hallway. Would that be a good idea? still doesn't fix the master issue. The house used to have 3 bedrooms where the family room is but the previous owner removed two of them

Also fix it how? What is currently lacking? Is it just that you need a 4th bedroom and to fix the approach to the master? Do you want/need both a family room and living room?

would like 4 bedrooms, master to not be right off the entrance. A hallway for all the bedrooms

What about showing the existing with the proposed reno as an overlay? What about the elevations as you cannot develop one with effecting the others? You're attempting this yourself I poresume? Do you intend to seek help with it, as this may be a good time?

I will hire a contractor but was hoping for ideas for a layout first

Remodels are significantly more difficult, disruptive to family life and more expensive than new construction. Invest in a design professional who can handle make it worth it.
