Your shutters should be sized so that they could cover and protect your windows from a heavy storm. Most people don't close their shutters, but the visual needs to be followed: they should be wide enough to cover the windows they frame.
I think your home would be lovely with all white siding and trim, leaving the brick unpainted. Then you could select a color for the door and shutters.

Definitely remove the shutters since your windows are much too wide for them. Each shutter should be half the window's width. Properly sized shutters on those windows would just look odd. Your brick is nice. Is the roof color the brownish-red it appears on my screen? The posts across the front could use some beefing up.

Remove the shutters. Install siding to windows' edge. If you can buy siding the color family your brick is, not a darker shaded value/ hue, your house would look larger. Paint the doors likewise. Or, You might consider a light shade of almond or ivory...run from gold yellow named colors..siding and have someone match your brick color to a paint for the garage doors..Paint your front door white, or a shade lighter than siding or a lighter version of the paint on the garage doors..Your porch posts can match the siding, or the garage doors...
