We first designed this entire 6,000 square foot home in 2012 including the lounge off the kitchen where the family often hang out talking and watching television. At the time our client wanted a pop of colour and we chose red which stood the test of time and looked just as good six years later. But our clients were ready for a change and wanted something more earthy with black accents to connect with the new custom built-ins on the mezzanine flanked by black and white striped chairs.

AFTER: Caramel colour Italian leather sofa with chaise and teak and black Eames style chairs (which swivel so people can talk to those in the kitchen), a new grey and cream geometric rug and new draperies give the space a whole new vibe.
