Looking to reduce the amount of textiles in the master bedroom because of allergies. Thinking a good bed option might be a platform which doesn't require a box spring. Too clumsy to consider one with a platform that extends from the mattress and looking at metal bases (link below). From what I can see in online pictures, these don't seem to have any lip for the mattress. Does anyone have one and does the mattress move?

Any other insights about this type of bed is welcome. I've read a few older forum threads that talked about platform beds but don't recall anything about mattresses and metal bases. Thanks!
