Washing Bedding!!

I'm taking over the laundry today. My 9year old Chip has done a excellent job while I've been ill but I think I can at least load the washer. The boys did strip the beds this morning for me and dropped it all on my favorite sorting spot...the kitchen floor. Lol.
Yes I have a huge stack of snowy white sheets, pillowcases, pillow covers, and duvet covers.
Of course I'm temporarily using the Roper top loader but the hot water heater is giving me 131F water...so good enough. I'll let things agitate half way and shut off for a 30 minute soak.
Today I'm using Purex with OXI because I like the scent. I'll add STPP and Sodium percarbonate. No fabric softener in bedding. I'm not going to iron as I normally would...just not able to stand that long yet.
Chip told me in paps sheets that are grey he didnt use oxygen bleach(good) and instead of STPP he used 2 Tablespoons of Borax to **break* the water. This kid is going to excel in laundry.....only my grandson would even understand **break** Of course I praised him.
Well that's my work for the day. ...easy, relaxing and productive.

Nothing washing today. Yesterday, whites ... dish towels & cloths, bath towels & wash cloths & hand towels, *lotta* socks, some cleaning rags.

Delicates, bras and two fancy blouses with some beading. Hope to get the tea stain out. Wash on very warm with cheer, let soak for a half hour then wash on gentle. I'll hang to dry.

Throw rugs and one load of dark clothing. Pretty boring laundry day here.

Work towels. Bath towels/hand/face towels and whites. Two separate loads. Powder All detergent, stpp, oxygen bleach and hot water after a warm 30 min pre-wash/soak with Borax and powder All. Very clean, fresh and white.

Only thing in my washer is 'distilled' water from the de-humidifier. I wash on weekends when the electric rate is 1/2 price.

Darks! Normal cycle, warm water, normal soil, Tide PurClean 1T STPP, 1C ammonia, and Downy F&G.

About a months' worth of personal whites (boxer briefs & t-shirts) using Tide with Bleach alternative; Whitest Whites with default settings of heavy soil, hot water, and extra rinse) and Snuggle FS.

I don't need to wash anything but I was feeling left out. I'm giving the Affresh cleaner a try right now - never used it before. :)

Cal white towels are all I use. I love white. Lol.

Lantro do you save your distilled water from the de-humidifier to do laundry? Thats a way to save on the water bill.

I wish someone new would pop in with a laundry challenge. LOL.

Tomorrow I'll finish bedding and start on colors. I imagine I'll be doing laundry all weekend. .. yea!
