Oh yes, Memorial Day’s blooms have almost been the size of my hand. It’s a lovely rose with a soft, delicate pink color and lovely aroma to my almost always sinus-ridden nose. Happy rose gardening and TGIF!

What a beautiful colour on a new to me rose JF. Does this rose BS or do you spray? Kristine, the fragrance of MD is one of my favourites, although I don't grow it. I think if I can someday manage to totally eradicate the bamboo from one area I will put in those sorts of roses for cutting. Is it healthy? It looks great in a regional garden, but it's unknown if they spray. I will spray baking soda or sulphur, but am lazy and prefer at least a bit of native health.

Good morning vaporvac and sultry! Yes, Hot Princess is new to me as well. I got her on fortuniana root-stock at Hardin's Nursery in Tampa. It was closing time and I asked the owner to give me a purpley-pink highly fragrant rose and he said "Hot Princess." I don't spray and she has about 5% BS so far in my extremely hot and humid Tampa climate.

She's been blooming nicely and is about 3ft tall and 2ft wide. I've only had her about 2 months. She has a very old rose aroma and is not very fragrant when you first bring the blooms inside. But overnight, I awoke and went into my home office and it was a blissful scent for sure.

If you look on helpmefind, the photos there are very different from the color of mine.

As an aside, I also bought Pope John Paul II at the same time and he is a BS nightmare for me. I'm considering tossing him or seeing if someone wants to trade something for him. C'est la vie'!

I'm not sure we're talking about the correct Hot Princess. The Tantau rose is a deep pink, no fragrance to my nose at all. see photo at link I"m thinking you have a mis-named rose.hot princess photo

Looks like Fragrant Plum or Melody Parfumee ? both have strong fragrance .

Vap, I dont spray Memorial Day. For me it is super healthy.

I mostly just spray my darn minis lol. Why do I put up with them ?

Jf, your rose looks like a mis label, but, yours has fragrance and is beautiful. That is a win.
