I think u have too much going on already on the walls. Is this one big room that u r making into two spaces.

The baskets you have now are lovely, but you need another one that has more punchy colors in order to "connect" the basket art to the blue and orange accents elsewhere. Also, don't be afraid to stagger the baskets and/or be "uneven" with them. If they're perfectly centered and perfectly aligned, the element of fun is diminished.

If you're going for a fun, tribal theme, here are some accessory ideas to accent the room:

The baskets would look nice on an orange wall. You need an odd number of objects (they don't all have to be baskets) to hang in you arrangement. I think you need to swap out your rugs so that there is more orange in the white space. Because of the light fixture on the currently white wall, I think the baskets would look better in the other room.

Yes, find another one for a total of five. Lay them on butcher paper, face down, and trace the shapes. Use blue painter's tape to play with the arrangement until you find what you like. Keep the bottom of the arrangement 5" above any furniture that is below it. If the bottom edge of the grouping has more than one basket, try to keep it visually straight for grounding the grouping while everything above it can stray all over the place.

I love your room, color choices, furniture! Here's a picture with your idea of painting part of the white wall orange. I think it looks great - it's been saved in my ideabook for a while. I agree with everyone else that you need an odd number of pieces. How about a very simple round clock?

If you get another basket (a colorful one, say orange), one not expensive ,one to cut a hole in to put around the light fixture. When the light is on it will glow and work into the mix ;)

Ideas. Margo - really like the idea of cutting a basket around the light.!I did wonder what i was going to do about that. Also uniting the colours with a colourful fifth basket is a great idea. Thanks. Ps: Margo like the arrangement on the picture you sent. Regarding the rug - its actually Kilim and has lots of orange & brown stripes. Perhaps it does not show that well on the photo- and yes, it's one big room zoned into different spaces as I gave two little babies :) so its pretty casual
