seed pods on star jasmine

I have a trellised star jasmine growing on a brick fireplace. Yesterday I was trimming it and found seed pods. I've been gardening for 50 years in socal and star jasmine is one of those plants that is everywhere and so common I don't really notice it. But I don't think I've ever seen seed pods on one. Have I just not been paying attention?
