If they are regular impatience rather than New Guinea, I would expect it that same disease. I haven’t heard much if anything about any disease resistant types, and the disease is likely here for good, so I have just avoided them since it became an issue.

Yes, I fear that I will need to do the same. The last time it hit, I avoided them for the recommended 5 years but it seems that was not long enough. I have always had wonderful success with them in your yard as well as in containers. I will switch to the New Guinea for next year. The last time it hit, I dumped all of my dirt and washed all of my pots in a bleach solution. This time I will dump the dirt and pitch the pots. Even my Begonias are having a hard time. For me, this has not been a good year in the garden.

We have had alternating very wet and very dry, and while some plants have been happy, I have mildew on some plants that I have never seen it on before. I also have weeds and more weeds.
