That is wonderful news, Laura! I bet it added a really nice, enhanced flavor to the pork dish you fixed. How was it? Did the fruit have much juice? Lovely tree by the way.

Laura, thanks for posting, I am curious about Seville orange fruit, never tasted one before, looks like the fruit size is smaller than sweet orange. Your tree is beautiful!

Thanks guys! The pork was wonderful. I only used one orange and there was plenty of juice in it. It is different from the sudachi or Rangpur lime for sure. It’s funny how flavors can bring back memories - this one definitely did. I’m very happy to have this tree...definitely a keeper :)

Sunshine, my fruit was smaller than a typical orange, but from what I remember, they get to be about the same size. I think my tree is just young and can’t carry such a big load. I can’t explain it, but it is definitely very sour - NOT one you would ever eat out of hand.

Oh and I collected nine seeds. If my friend who took my trees does not want them (I just texted him), I’d be happy to mail them to Steve or anyone else who wants them.

Laura, very nice! And it ripened before you had to keep them in for good. Good timing I'd say. I don't have one. Is it worth it for me to get one? Sweet? Tart? Acidic? A keeper?

Mike, it is very very sour, but great for marinading pork!

Yippee Laura congratulations!!!!. I love anything that brings back memories of the good days gone bye . Lol your not enabling me into getting a Seville but I did just take a roast pork out of the freezer for tomorrow thankyou . Very happy for you Laura. Nice pics also .

Looking good! Congrats, Laura. I don't think I have ever tasted a Seville (that I know of). Nice looking tree. I believe I use to have that same kind of container it's in.

BTW, that butterfly on citrus photo in your photo album is great (the one where the butterfly is looking at the camera). Enjoyed looking at your pics.

Congratulations, Laura. I'm so jealous of all the photos of fruit on every one's trees. None of my trees have any fruit, except a variegated kumquat, and I don't know how different that is to the regular kumquats.

By the way, the rind of the Seville orange is wonderful for making marmalade. I was once in Seville at blossom time. The roads were lined with the trees and the fragrance was heavenly.
