The red makes for a warm and pleasantly assertive greeting. Much more interesting than mirrors and maybe a good intro to who you are and what you like? The black frame is perfect with the bench and door. I'm glad that the art doesn't match the rug.

I like the ceiling fixture, but I'm not sure about the finish on it for the foyer. But, swapping out ceiling fixtures is an easy DIY. Try it and see if upsets the balance you have here.
