We’re considering building a 16x18 composite deck off the living room, then at the stairs down to the right we want to put in a 16x16 paver patio (the paver patio will be almost level with the yard and under the dining room windows).

Would this combination look too busy? We considered a composite deck for the entire area but having railing blocking views of the forest in front of the dining windows kinda sucks. The only upside to having an all composite deck is that the space wouldn’t be interrupted.

Thoughts? I’d like feedback before moving ahead with this project. It’s really gnawing at me!
