Need help with dining wood floor

I'm putting in a new wood floor in the dining room. The subfloor is gypcrete with infloor heat (heated by hot water heat) so I cannot nail down a solid wood floor, and will put in an engineered wood floor. I have natural cherry woodwork. The blue on the walls is not as bright as appears in the photo. The paint color is Benjamin Moore 2135-30 Nocturnal gray. There is tile floor that adjoins the dining room. (the carpet remanents on floor are from carpet in other rooms of the house). I wanted to put in Brazilian Cherry wood floor but the manufacturer won't warranty it over in-floor heat. I would like suggestions of other wood floor species that would look good in the dining room. I would like a formal look. Thank you!
