It's called a wrap inset hinge (or wrap around inset hinge). Try Rockler, Woodcraft, or Lee Valley, lots of them show up in Google.

I call them "non-mortise with finial" hinges. Finial being the decorative tip on each end of pin. Should find them anywhere that sells other cabinet hinges and hardware.

Kate, I have also been searching for DAYS, on-line and locally, for that exact hinge, although mine is in Oil-Rubbed Bronze. I have 4 missing (they had been replaced by flat hinges) and 4 that are bent. Have you had ANY luck? I'm dying to refurbish my old armoire.

Thank you for all of the replies. I apologize for my late response; however, Halloween season is a busy time of year with two small children and school parties.

The two hinges mentioned do not match up with what I have. I did use the terms for more searches and stumbled upon hinges that referenced "knuckles." I also figured out that the complete swing out we have is referred to as 270 degrees. Based on those items...I searched 270 degrees 5 knuckle hinge and am pretty darn close. I haven't made a purchase as I haven't found anything with the exact same look/dimensions as the existing hardware...so we may purchase similar ones and drill new holes and patch as I plan to paint the t.v. cabinet anyway.

Julia: yours don't look exactly like ours, but maybe you want to try the search I mentioned? Yours look to be 4 knuckles; however, if it the hinges open completely....I would say 270 degrees applies to yours as well. I wish you luck as this is the component holding up this project.

Kate, my apologies, you are correct. They are similar but not exact. I was just so excited to see something so close because I cannot find anything even close.

Klem1 - THANK YOU so much for the info on Elliott's Hardware Store! I looked them up and they don't have an on-line store (for obvious reasons), so I will e-mail them and call them today! Trust me, this one is NOT easy to search. I have been searching with these parameters "Non-mortise full wrap full inset finial hinges" I have searched with just partial description as well (i.e. just "Non-mortise" or "Non-mortise full wrap"). Anyway, I'm in Southern California so I don't know if on-line searches tend to keep results in your generalized geographical area, but trust me, I'm giving it every effort! Anyway, I will definitely report back on any findings! Thanks again!
