Outdoor Lighting Scale

October 26, 2018

Attached is a scaled drawing of the entry way to our new house yet to be built/ The opening is about 12 ft tall and 13 ft from the front of the column to the door. We have chosen two lights, one is 18" tall and 5" wide and the other is 24" tall and 9" wide (depicted on right) The drawings are to scale.

Which one would be best? We like the smaller light better but it only comes in that size fro Tech Lighting http://www.techlighting.com/Products/Fixtures/Outdoor-Wall-Sconces/Turbo-Outdoor-Wall The other from Hinkley http://www.hinkleylighting.com/product/outdoor-lighting/exterior-wall-mount/bronze-luna-exterior-wall-mount-16 Luna shown is of a different size. Here is the front scaled drawing

They should be about 1/4-1/3 the height of the door, so definitely the 24" light could be even taller. Keep in mind that when you look from the street the lights will appear smaller.
