How do I tie it to the kitchen?

I think it’s fine in the aisle. Think of it as a coffee house setting. Get some small tables (maybe those little ones where the legs tuck under the sofa and the tabletop is almost a tray atop the sofa, so you don’t obstruct the aisle). You might want, if possible, to have the sofa stuffed with firmer cushions. People like to slouch when watching TV but not as much when they’re earring or drinking.

It's not fine. Draw this to scale in inches. Forget this aerial view thing. You will end with a sofa, nothing in front of it, and it will appear as you couldn't find a place for it and parked it there. Draw the entire space to scale at 1/4 inch to a foot and include the dimensions of the furniture you want IN the space.

How do I tie it to the kitchen?

Take colours or textures from the kitchen and use them in that area, in the cushions or a side table, for instance. Don't match it to the rug in the living room where it won't be.

It's unconventional, but that doesn't mean it's wrong, or that you won't like it. And, besides, you could always move the furniture later if you don't like it. We're not talking about bolting it to the floor or anything!

Do you actually have a LR space other than the bay window area? I am assuming you have another seating space where the TV is since there is no way to do that in your layout. I agree post pics of all the spaces and a floor plan

I’ll post additional pics of the floor plan. I’m using a virtual design company so the images were created by them. Yes, I do have an actual LR (it’s behind the kitchen).

I have been inspired by “keeping rooms” and am trying to work that feel in here.
