It can be replaced, but it will have to be reprofiled on site to fit the new sink.

I can't help with finding a replacement but you can put a hose corral/sleeve on to stop it from catching, in the mean time.

If you like an apron sink, Joseph Corlett, or another talented fabricator, could cut the counter, and possibly use the front lip to replace the section with the holes.

I just happened to be re-reading a couple of old "love/wouldn't do it again" threads, a couple of days ago, and saw Javiwa's post. I had the same issue with the weight catching on a pipe, but was able to adjust it without needing the corral. If you find a local person with the skill set ask for pictures and references from his customers.

Ah, I would love a farmhouse sink! But unfortunately, I think that my current sink is too far from the front edge to allow...21.5" from the front edge to the deepest part of the cut out, sigh.

I have the EXACT same problem! (Except that I'm the one who chose the stupid sink in the first place...) I do love my marble counters, and definitely don't want to replace them. I considered going to a normal rectangular single sink and having the marble re-profiled on-site -which is what I'd ideally want- but I don't think there's enough space behind the back edge (without the bump-out) for the faucet. I'm very frustrated. I didn't know that there are weird-shaped single-bowl sinks, though, so thanks. I'll investigate that.
