WHAT. DISEASE. IS. THIS?! Lumps on branches.

Sorry, I asked before, but at the time, no one was able to ID or help. I will try again and maybe someone new will accidentally read my post and know what it is. I googled, but am still clueless.

Plant: Gold Nugget mandarin citrus.

I see lumps.

And when I see lumps, I will also see clear-like dried-up crystal goo close by.

I decided to cut (thru) a cross section of the lump and I see clear liquid gooey stuff that is definitely not part of the plant system...or I don't think so.

WHAT IS IT?! It's driving me mad because I don't know what it is or what it's called.

Sadly, I know the plant is a gonner and I will have to throw it away because even if one cuts the infected branches off, the lumps and crystal goo will come back and/or is in the plant's vascular system. New branches will grow, everything looks fine, then the lumps and jelly goo will come back again on the young branches. Once, I did cut all the branches off - all the way down to just a piece of scion left on the rootstock. Clean and disinfect like crazy. The tree was spotless! The scion sprouted some new branches, then the lumps came back (only on that tree).
