What type of floors are those? You may want to get your counters in first, then get some backsplash samples and hold them up to get a better feel....

there are hundreds of choices that will look beautiful. it's better if you wait until you get it installed first, since your lighting will have an effect on what you choose.

I love this glass tile in Moonlight. DalTile I believe. they aren't super cheap, but they are beautiful. the tones in this darker gray play well w/your countertop and offer a slight iridescence. Tide would be the other option. And Black Sand, well, how daring do you want? I love black tile especially w/whites and grays. any of these will look amazeballs w/your black windows, and hopefully some kind of black hardware or fixtures.

I love color but for the kitchen I want a clean, transitional look that I can decorate through the years and doesn’t look dated in a few years. I love the glam style and I’m seriously thinking of a herringbone tile. I’m not sure though and love all the ideas I’m getting here.

Finally decided on a backsplash. It came out beautiful. Thank you everyone for your ideas. I actually combined several ideas and came up with the final product. Take a look. I decided to wall mount the hood and not go all the way up. Love the look!

Mona, here are the pictures of the glass tile and grout I purchased at Home Depot. It wasn’t too expensive but the installation had to be done with someone with experience and with the right equipment .

I think a warm grey glass tile could work nicely with your selection

Mercy, how do you have the edges of your backsplash finished where it was exposed due to the counter or wall ending? Can you post a pic of that? I am doing a similar glass tile backsplash and not sure what to do about the exposed edge.
