"I suppose" there are fancier lamps, but maybe this adds a thought for your room. Your lamp fits in the space, and there are other shapes.... but seeing your window I thought either lacy, or this type [which could be hemmed to make it right amount of red or no red....]

Use the red portion to add a trim to your lamp shades!

I don't think it's the color that's the problem. I think the lamp is too modern to match the bed.

Regardless, I agree with the poster who points out that this is a lamp in a bedroom ... only you will see this. I wouldn't hurry to change it.

If it allows you to read in bed for a spell, I think it's a winner!

I like it. It fits that little nook perfectly! Also like the color, the glass, and that it's a little pop of something transitional.

It'd be best to see the rest of the room - for reading I think a soft bronze/ brass 'reading lamp'....so far seeing the window has blinds [but I'd cover them and soften the room]…. blinds and type of lamp seem simple, and go together..... ?!

I ended up keeping it- mostly because not having a bedside lamp was our #1 excuse for playing games or window shopping on our phones in bed as opposed to reading books lol.

A piece of me is a little sad though, as lamps like you just posted are a bit more suited for the area.
