I always like to see a uniform look. if you mix and match I find that it will look like you ran out of one finish and you had to use another one to complete the bathroom. stick with one finish for a complete look.

I agree, to me that looks like you just bought what was on sale. In a small room like a bathroom I favor one finish.

For the Asian look, do all black faucets and lighting. That will be dramatic and interesting. Sounds great! Do you have any photos. Would love to see.

I love bathrooms with mixed finishes. Google images, they are gorgeous. In my in-laws bath that I'm designing, we're using a gold-framed mirror and gold finish lighting, but chrome faucets. I've seen some black and chrome mixes that look fabulous as well. And gold/brass kitchen cabinet hardware with chrome faucets is a great look you can find lots of pictures of online.

Of course, mixing involves taking into consideration the entire space so all elements work together. But sometimes less is more!
