He looks just like my niece's pure breed Shih Tzu to me. He is a real cutie pie BTW! :)

Thanks AG, I think so too but have you looked at the Peek a Poo's? They look like SZ's to me too! There's one just like him, it is so weird.

Dog breeds come from careful years(hundreds of years) of custom breeding anyway, so not so weird actually.

He looks SZ mix (maybe llapso), but the best way to find out is to do a DNA. They’re not crazy expensive to buy on Amazon and it’s a lot of fun to learn the genetic history.

Our lab looks like she’s 100% lab but I had doubts because her mother wasn’t papered. We did a DNA out of curiosity and sure enough, way back in her mother’s history she has a tiny tad of Airdale in her. We think that’s why she has crazy soft fur.
