Are you open to a deep dark color? I think a navy would be yummy! I would also change the curtains to color like the sofa.

I am, only caveat is that i'm worried the room will be too dark....?

We just turned this guestroom into a TV room for hubby. Colors are similar to yours. And this is a very dark room to begin with. I love how the blue turned out.

deb, if you are in Steeler nation, you have two very good choices to go with your mustard/gold sofa: Steelers black and gold or Pitt navy and gold. Let’s assume Pitt.

I would keep the white walls, but put up some wider rods with navy drapes. The wider rods are necessary so that when they are opened all the way, they let in the maximum amount of sun. Next I would search for some gold & navy pillows and put a few rugged plants in the room. You might even think of cat plants. My cat Rex keeps trying to escape from the house. The first thing he does when he gets outside is eat grass. I keep meaning to go to the farm supply store and buy him cat plants.

BM Hale Navy is a classic dark navy blue. But maybe you are more of a Glidden Pit Blue gal! But whichever shade, use a deep tone primer first. Makes the job so much easier and usually cheaper!

i saw that Hale Navy is one of the colors that BM is featuring for this year...it's a very nice color and i will definitely be taking a closer look at that
