They are the online presence of Ferguson. They are legit and we have bought a number of light fixtures from them (through lightingdirect.com which is part of build.com) as well as faucetdirect.com (also part of build/Ferguson)

I joined their e-mailing list to get a coupon code; never got the coupon and cannot for the life of me get off their e-mail list. I've even called, with no success. Puts a sour taste in my mouth.

Yes. Purchased light fixtures and cooktop. They don't charge sales tax which is nice. Also if you go through ebates.com you can sometimes get a nice rebate back off your purchase.

Bad experience with returns, they did not want to honor their return policy.

I've had no issues with them but haven't had to return anything. Do call because you might get better pricing on certain items. I've ordered bathroom fixtures and will order door hardware soon.

I used Build.com to purchase $1000’s worth of plumbing items and lighting for a new build a few years ago — great prices, great service — I ordered the wrong plumbing valves for my showers, and they happily exchanged them for the correct valves even though it was months after the original purchase. If you order a large amount of items, ask for an additional builder’s discount.

We bought all our plumbing and some lights and have used them for our current house bathroom remodel. Only issue was with the shipping company and our bathtub. Took 3 times to get one that was undamaged. Asked for a different shipper the 3rd time and was okay.

Bought most of the fixtures in my house from there when it was being built. Its a legit site. Place big orders(like 5K to 10K), tell them you are building a house, and they will give you a discount and assign you a rep to deal with.

I did have a few issues, most of them were my fault. But one particular annoying one was where I placed an order where two items ended up being shipped together, and then I discovered one of them needed to be returned before it was ever shipped. That resulted in the one item that was shipping with it being effectively cancelled too, but I did not receive it or get a refund for it. I bet I saved at least 10K ordering all my stuff from there...

I bought all the plumbing and lighting fixtures for two homes in different years from them. Never had a problem.
Here is how to get the best deal: go online, put everything you want in your cart, call the 1-800 number, tell them your cart number and they can see it. They can look at the valves for each plumbing fixture to make sure you get the correct ones. Tell them you are ordering for the builder and ask for a builder or bulk discount. They always lower the price from whatever the cart shows. Have your credit card ready.
