Close up of new hinge/where trim was before we removed panel to turn it to a door.

Maybe a pic from further back would help.

We will have magnet inside but panel looks very unfinished. We are thinking of framing it, but leave it in about an inch and smooth finish the right edgewith a flat cover to hide screw and look finished. We need trim on the other three edges and I don’t want it to be dangling and not connect it with a fourth side. That is the best I can come up with. The above picture kind of shows it with random pieces of wood I found laying around.
