Help! Paint Color/Transition Open Floor Plan w/ Vault

We are in the middle of our construction process and need some expert advice on paint color transitioning in this open floor plan. Our kitchen cabinets and trim will be white (SW Alabaster). Our counter tops are quartzite that have gray streaks/undertones. The Fireplace will be cultured stone (Echo Ridge) and there will be floating beams in the vaulted area.

The dilemma we are facing is that if we go with SW Repose gray on the walls and SW alabaster on the ceilings how to do we make the smooth transitions with the headers and vault?

One option we have looked at is doing SW Alabaster everywhere but then we are afraid of it being to white/modern.

I have a similar question, so I'm hoping someone has some advice for you! My downstairs is basically one room- the kitchen is open to the living room which is open to the entry which is open to the stairs and hall which are open to the upstairs hall and bonus room/play room.

There is no place to transition from one color to another color. What ever color we pick for the kitchen has to look good in every single other room/space. I'd like a little color but I think we'll have to stick with something very bland or it will be overwhelming.

Anyone have any suggestions for painting these open floor plans that essentially make the whole house one contiguous wall? Thanks.
