So, I want to pull the standard white shelves out of my small pantry and replace them with something cool like solid wood live edge. I also want to tile the pantry wall with ‘backsplash’ for decorative purposes. Obviously traditional backsplashes are near food. However, in a pantry the food is in close proximity to the backsplash for extended periods of time. Are there any food safety issues I should be aware of regarding the tiles or grout?
