It got down to 48° yesterday here, but this morning it was much warmer. It's about time for me to bring my cattleyas inside, I think. They do better when it is warmer, and I generally bring them inside at the beginning of December and put them back outside in March.

According to Accuweather, where we are, this week lows are in the low thirties, highs in the 70's. Average lows are 40's and highs 60's.

Today I heard that the smoke was responsible for 10 degrees, meaning that our temps in the SFBA are 10 degrees colder than normal due to the smoke.

Do you mind saying where you saw that? I can't seem to find out where to learn more.

but we are having the opposite where I live.

I thought until the rains we were well above average. Especially in the low temps..this last bay area week has been wet and average temps. Lows,above slightly.

I liked how Ma Nature did it this month... 80's the first week..warm and dry..and then one day-boom!..rains. None of that pussyfooting around with cloudy and no rains. Kudos to Ma Nature.

The bay area is looking pretty cool already in the 50's! It's a decent 60F here today. A lot of seasonal temps in North Cal and SoCal this time of year compare to last.

We almost made it to December before I had to do the annual potted plant migration of wet haters on porch..and colorful "We don't care about rain" potted plants to fill their spot by the side door. It's also the time of year when all broms can go in full sun.

More rains this week. So nice to not have to unravel hundreds of feet of garden hose. Plus,all that free water..
