I would hesitate to put fabric there if it is already difficult to keep the glass globes clean....fabric would be worse!

Okay then moving onto my dislike of the style, I am looking at stained glass Tiffany-style inverted pendants to go with my Mission/Craftsman style (my house architecture). The builder calls it modern farmhouse.

(Because if I love them I won't mind cleaning them LOL)

I would not want those glass globes either. Not sure what you could replace them with though - seems like it would have to be a glass globe of some sort.

You might want to look at metal or wood. Something like these.

Ha, just saw that you're going from the modern glass globes to Tiffany lights??? No matter how much you like them they will be hard to clean with all the little panes and lead in between.

I don’t know....I have a Tiffany style hanging lamp in my dining room, it’s never been a problem to keep clean. I just use a duster.

I think the problem is not that I am a fanatic about it being clean, but that it is glass and you can SEE it isn't clean. I don't mind getting up there a couple times of year to clean leaded glass, but these globes look dusty after just a couple days.

Yep. I know exactly what you mean. That's why I wouldn't want those globes...I would hate that they would look dirty so quickly. Would drive me bonkers.
