As a pro who's done scores of IKEA kitchens, I can tell you that any of IKEA's real wood doors (usually veneer but also solid wood where rails and stiles are involved) are much better than their foil finish doors (although it should be noted that Bodbyn is a painted, not foil, finish, and is actually very durable). However, I have used neither the Ekestad or Lerhyttan style in any project of mine. I am a bit dubious about the longevity of the finish on the Ekestad door, as those raised edges seem very vulnerable to wear and chipping (which is incidentally very much in evidence in IKEA's store displays!). I would pick the Lerhyttan style if durability is a concern.

My personal preference is to get stock IKEA wood doors custom-painted, as I did in these projects:

Also, I would very strongly recommend using the black-brown frames if you use any dark brown door. Otherwise, the white gaps between doors and drawer fronts will stand out like a sore thumb. (In the first photo above, for example, the black wall cabinets use the black-brown frames, and the white island uses the white frames).

Black-brown frames are not available in the US unfortunately.
